Climate protection despite energy intensity

The Lößnitz foundry has made it into the 2020 Annual Report of the Alliance for Development and Climate as a best-practice example.

Climate protection despite energy intensity

Bravo! The headline "Climate protection despite energy intensity" describes how the foundry offset 2,000 tons of greenhouse gases last year. This means that we are contributing to voluntary greenhouse gas compensation in Germany and have become an example worth emulating for the entire foundry industry. We are mighty proud of that.

In addition to several projects in Germany, we also support a reforestation project in Panama. This not only plants valuable mixed forests and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by a total of almost 3.4 million tons, but also gives local people a good job. Our goal here is to sustainably improve the livelihoods of as many people as possible!

To show our determination on the path to more climate protection, we signed the Alliance for Development and Climate's Declaration of Participation in October 2019 and have since committed ourselves to sustainable and resource-conserving production. So far with complete success!
